Lichfield is a very handsome Cathedral City in Staffordshire. It is fiercely protected by its citizens. The Civic Hall was built in the mid-1970ís in what is now a sensitive Conservation Area, and offered a flexible space with folding bleacher seating. However, operating the venue was difficult and, as we so often find, the existing mechanical ventilation was too noisy and too expensive to operate and so the existing spaces were acutely uncomfortable.
